چکیده

Background: Despite a trend showing continued improvement in survival by combing targeted agents for colorectal cancer (CRC), the observed is limited. Moreover, clinically relevant benefits were not achieved peritoneal metastasis cases. The role of cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) have been questioned. This review aimed to provide an overview current status studies reporting on molecular knowledge from CRC (CRC-PM).Current Concepts: PRODIGE 7 study was performed assess specific contributions HIPEC benefit CRC-PM cases comparing CRS treatment alone with oxaliplatin-based HIPEC. However, this did reveal any improvement, oxaliplatin resistance suggested as main cause negative outcome. Hence, relative consensus subtype (CMS) 4 great interest.Discussion Conclusion: Recent treatments metastatic gradually moved precision medicine based individual biological information through high-throughput technology, such next-generation sequencing. In transcriptome study, identified almost homogeneous CMS4 classification, which known strong chemotherapy. These results suggest need clarify complex sub-signal transmission pathways derived or proteome CRC-PM. Finally, compare two studies, it necessary establish representative patient group consider standardized sample collection, treatment, analysis.

Role of Molecular Biomarkers in Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is amongst the most widespread cancers and is a most common cause of cancer associated mortality universally. Since previous decades, it has been cleared that CRC develops owing to the buildup of a series of genetic and epigenetic changes in the normal colonic epithelium. Regardless of the current development in surgery and therapies, overall survival of end stage CRC pa...

Cervical Metastasis From Colorectal Cancer

Metastatic carcinoma from colorectal cancer to the uterine cervix is rare. We report a case of metastatic carcinoma from a right colon cancer to the cervix with vaginal extension 3 years after primary treatment. Our report highlights the importance of immunohistochemical analysis to determine the origin of uterine cervix cancer in the event of adenocarcinoma in a patient with a history of color...

Hepatic Metastasis from Colorectal Cancer

The liver is the most common site of metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer due to its anatomical situation regarding its portal circulation. About 14 to 18% of patients with colorectal cancer present metastasis at the first medical consultation, and 10 to 25% at the time of the resection of the primary colorectal cancer. The incidence is higher (35%) when a computed tomography (CT) scan...

Oesophageal Metastasis from Colorectal Cancer

Metastasis to the oesophagus is most frequently described in association with lung or breast cancer. Diagnosis is frequently complicated as often only normal tissue is present in endoscopic biopsy specimens. Although oesophagectomy for metastasis has been described, few patients are suitable for curative resection. We report the case of a 62-year-old man who developed an oesophageal metastasis ...

Treatment of peritoneal metastases from colorectal cancer

Peritoneal seedings of a colorectal tumor represent the second most frequent site of metastasis (after the liver). In the era of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU)-only chemotherapy, the prognosis was poor for colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases. Within the last few years, new chemotherapeutic and targeted agents have improved the prognosis; however, the response to these treatments seems to be low...
